Master of moody songcraft, Delacey is known for her smokey vocals, clever lyrics, innate gift for melody and less-is-more approach that sets a timeless mood and atmosphere from the first note. The Grammy-Nominated, LA-based songwriter and artist has collaborated with the likes of Dove Cameron, Tate, McRae, Renee’ Rapp, Gracie Abrams, Gayle, Justin Bieber and Halsey on the Diamond-Certified, single “Without Me” as well as countless others.
Delacey stepped out center stage with her debut album, Black Coffee, a beautiful mess of emotions set within soulful songs that telegraphed a toughness and vulnerability all at once with standout tracks “Subway Song” and “My Man”. She followed that up with this past year’s, The Girl Has A Dream serving up a powerful, lush and unapologetically dark, yet beautiful sophomore album, which perfectly sum up Delacey as an artist and songwriter. The album which features the haunting single “Man On The Moon”, an unfiltered journey through her world that feels vulnerable, sad, sweet and sexy all at once while spotlighting her airy vocals and raw, relatable lyricism.
Never one to stop creating, Delacey used her honeymoon in Paris and Italy to write a collaborative EP with her husband, Valley Boy entitled Honeymooners inspired by their nuptials and the backdrop of these beautiful landscapes. They walked down the aisle to "I Went To The Store One day" by Father John Misty and were listening to a lot of Beatles, Mitski, Big Thief, Dijon and Mazzy Star while on their travels, influences you can hear weaved in throughout the music as well as an underlying theme of love. The first single “Drive Baby” plays like that perfect, alternative, soundtrack song to an epic road trip and follow up “God Is A Giver”with it’s gentle, fuzzy, textures brings the love theme full circle. With the Honeymooners EP releasing in the spring and Delacey already hard at work on her third album, she’s looking forward to a big 2024.
