Music Declares Emergency US (MDE US) is a group of artists, music industry professionals and organizations that stand together to declare a climate and ecological emergency and call for an immediate governmental response to protect all life on Earth. We believe in the power of music to activate music fans to promote the cultural change needed to create a better future.”
The climate crisis is the greatest challenge of our time, and we believe that the power of music should take its place at the forefront of this important movement.

Music Declares Emergency initially started in the UK in 2019, and now includes France, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Netherlands, Chile and Canada with over 6,600 declarers - and Riptide is an active participant in launching and growing MDE in the United States.
MDE has already been joined by artist voices that include: Billie Eilish, Bon Iver, Major Lazer, Juanes, Pretenders, Arcade Fire, Tom Morello, Machel Montano, Radiohead and Annie Lennox and MDE needs your voice too!
Now more than ever, is the time for all of us, whether artists, managers, labels, publishers, venues and music fans, to loudly and proactively join the rally to curb and reverse climate change and do all we can to support change through individual and industry action.
